STILLWATER, Okla. – Stillwater High School’s Band program set a new record for the number of students earning All State honors at last weekend’s Oklahoma Music Educators Association All State Auditions.

Stillwater had the fourth highest total number of All State students from any school in the state of Oklahoma and had the highest percentage of their students selected as members or alternates.

“I am proud of all of our students who auditioned, whether they were selected for the ensemble or not,” said Stillwater Public Schools Directors of Bands Kevin Zamborsky. “Each of our students are better musicians for going through the auditions and I am so proud of their hard work.”

Stillwater students selected to All State are:

  • Julius Cundiff - 3rd chair Symphonic Band flute
  • Bella Genevro - 2nd chair Wind Symphony oboe

  • Cooper Perkins - 1st chair Wind Symphony bassoon
  • Joel Villasenor - 4th chair Symphonic Band bassoon
  • Moustafa Soliman - 1st alternate bassoon

  • Audrey Edgar - 12th chair Symphonic Band clarinet

Stillwater Bands is under the direction of Kevin Zamborsky, Tricia Bailey-Bovenschen, Megan Perkins, KG Robinson and Katie Genevro and serves nearly 550 students in grades sixth through twelve in the Stillwater school district. SHS Band competes at Mustang Invitational; hosts 8th Grade Night

MUSTANG, Okla. – The Stillwater High School Pioneer Marching Band competed in their second contest of the season this past Saturday, when they took the field at the Mustang Marching Invitational. In the afternoon’s preliminary competition, when bands compete against each other based on Bands of America classifications, the Pioneer Marching Band took home third place in Class AA, and qualified for Finals, where the top 12 bands compete regardless of classification.   In finals performance, their show, entitled, “Bach in the Saddle,” earned an 8 th place overall finish. "Bach in the Saddle” – Pioneer Marching Band preparing for upcoming season

  STILLWATER, Okla.  – Featuring one of the largest marching bands in school history, the Stillwater High School Pioneer Marching Band is hard at work preparing for the 2025 marching season. Band Camp began on July 28 th  and the band will host a free community performance on Thursday, August 7 th  at 7 p.m. at Pioneer Stadium to officially kick off the marching season.   The Pioneer Marching Band is coming off a successful 2024 marching season earning bronze medal honors in Class 6A-2 and being named a state finalist at the Oklahoma Bandmasters State Championship.
